Jai Hind Primary takes the pledge

There was lots of enthusiastic clapping and singing with Bongie the ‘Road Safety mascot’.

Active Education members Tebogo Makozane and Donna Sibisi (back, left and right) addressed Jai Hind last week and pupils (back, from left) Ash-Lynn Hamilton, Sameshen Moodley, Teighlon Fynn, Londeka Skahana, (front) Aphelele Chiya, Hiranya Govinder and Shreya Jagesser learnt a lot of valuable lessons about road safety.

Jai Hind’s foundation phase pupils attended a special assembly addressed by representatives from Active Education and the Department of Education last Thursday.

There was lots of enthusiastic clapping and singing at the interactive session with Bongie the ‘Road Safety mascot’ who made pupils aware of simple road rules that would keep them safe.

Pupils were also encouraged to take the ‘Road Safety Pledge’ to keep families and friends safe on the road as well.
