Margate Primary was on the receiving end of a very generous donation of a queen-sized bed from a local business recently. Pupils were tasked with selling raffle tickets to raise much-needed funds for the school.

The grand prize winner was notified last week, but a competition was held within the school to see which pupil sold the most tickets and which class raised the most money.
The response from pupils was outstanding and the grade 2 class raised the most money. Nolwazi Njeya (gr 5) took top honours, followed by Thokozana Skene (gr 6) and Bervie Mbewe (gr 4), third. Well done to all pupils for their sterling efforts.
