CHURCHES function as the central place for teaching about God and His will for His people, and there are many Christian denominations that rent buildings for their Saturday or Sunday services.

One such church which currently doesn’t have a building it can call its own is Interfellowship Global Ministries, Marburg. The congregation hosted a comedy night recently, featuring a host of comedians, with proceeds going toward the church’s building funds.
The church has a large membership, which is growing. This has caused Pastor Kim Oliver to think seriously about having a place of worship of their own.

The team of church elders resolved that they should start looking at putting up a building for the congregation and decided to kick off fund-raising this year. Churches are unique places that instill change in people’s lives and, according to Pastor Oliver, a church will create an avenue where people can find comfort, peace and love. He agrees that, while it will take some time for them to raise enough money to start the building, they have at least made a start. There are plans for bigger and better fund-raising events.
