Port Shepstone Islamic School’s sporting calendar ended with an exciting table tennis tournament in the school hall last week. The boys’ section of the competition was dominated by Muhammad Rawat (U11), Salmaan Desai (U13), Mohammed Dindar (U15), Zubair Padia (U17) and Taufeeq Khamissa (open).

In the girls’ division Sumaiyah Padia (U11), Yumna Hoosen (U13), Ilhaam Khamissa (U15), Nabeelah Bux (U17) and Waheeda Bux (open) took the honours. Junior pupils impressed with their display of gymnastic skills and ball technique.
The school shifts into exam mode this week as pupils gear themselves for final assessments. The annual awards day takes place on Tuesday, December 5 in the school hall.
