Creston pupils collect some medals

Olympic and South African swimmer Ayrton Sweeney was at the event.

Creston pupils Daniel Fisher (gr 4) and George Annandale (gr 3) competed in the TYR Westville Sprints held at Kings Park in Durban last weekend. Daniel bagged three bronze medals for placing third in three races, namely the 50m freestyle and the 50m and 100m breaststroke.

Daniel improved his overall times by 12 seconds in five events. George swam his personal best times and improved on many of his swims.

He scooped a bronze medal for the 100m breaststroke event and was ecstatic to have met Olympic and South African swimmer Ayrton Sweeney at the event.

Gr 10 pupil Ntsikelelo Makanya took part in the KZN Sub Youth Athletics Championships recently and walked away with two silver and one bronze medal for the 100m, 200m and triple jump events.
