Merlewood’s gr R pupils graduate

Sadly longstanding gr R teacher Connie Dunn will be retiring at the end of the year.

Merlewood Primary enjoyed an exciting and fun-filled graduation day last week. A whopping 62 grade R pupils graduated. Parents were entertained with nifty dance moves and showed off their abilities memorising poetry.

Parents turned out in large numbers to support the little graduates, despite the poor weather. It was also a sad day as parents and pupils learnt that longstanding gr R teacher Connie Dunn would be retiring at the end of the year.

The school wishes Mrs Dunn a well-deserved rest and a happy retirement.

Parents are reminded that the annual budget day takes place this Saturday (December 2) in the school hall at 2pm.
