Margate Middle School rewards hard work

The principal, Sivalingam Moodley, said the awards function was organised to motivate top performing pupils.

MARGATE Middle School held its school awards function at the school hall on Wednesday morning and recognised top pupils for their excellent academic performance.

The teachers handed over achievement certificates and trophies to the top pupils. The event was well attended by pupils, teachers, parents and members of the Hibiscus Coast Rotary Club.

Margate Middle School principal Sivalingam Moodley congratulated the pupils for their top achievements and thanked teachers, parents and Rotarians for all their support.

It was an exciting and motivating achievement for pupils from grades 8 to 12 who excelled academically.

He also congratulated the pupils and thanked the teachers, parents and rotarians for their support. One of the teachers, Nasreen Rahim, said they were a quintile 3 school and that such achievements as well as motivating the pupils helped the school gain recognition.

At Margate Middle School awards on Wednesday Hibiscus Coast Rotary Club member Anne Thompson gives prize money to pupil Diatile Hlabi for her top achievement. Ms Thompson also gave prize money to many more pupils for top achievements.
