RA Engar Primary held its annual ‘Day of Recognition’ ceremony at Andhra Hall last Friday. Pupils who excelled academically, as well as on the sports field were recognised and rewarded. Guest speaker Pastor Amos Ngcobo urged pupils to persevere in their studies and encouraged parents to be supportive.

The prestigious ‘Good fellowship’ award was awarded to Mendi Chiliza and Ayabonga Gextshe and Zakhe Moyikwa were ‘Sports boy’ and ‘Sports girl of the year’ respectively. The English award went to Amanda Cele and Jayleen Govender scooped both the Maths and the coveted Dux awards.
