Jai Hind peer leaders acquire skills

Netball, volleyball, soccer, swimming and cricket have commenced at school and pupils are urged to take part.

Jai Hind’s gr 7 peer leaders and respective teachers went on an overnight excursion to Teen Ranch in Port Edward last Thursday and Friday.

Team-building activities were conducted by qualified facilitators and activities included rope climbing, a challenging obstacle course, a hike down a ravine and even a crawl through a mud pool.

The leaders benefited enormously from these activities by learning how to work together as an integral part of the team.

Skills learnt during the team-building activities will assist them to carry out their duties to the best of their abilities. The peer leader induction ceremony takes place tomorrow (Friday, 2nd) at the school.

Sporting activities, including netball, volleyball, soccer, swimming and cricket have commenced at school and training sessions and fixtures are being finalised. Pupils are encouraged to take part.
