Southcity Christian College held its interhouse gala last Wednesday to a nail-biting finish with Asher beating Judah by five points.
Judah took the relay trophy, Asher the tabloids trophy and Levi, who never stopped cheering, the spirit trophy. Ten records were broken with Suné de Wit breaking five out of five records, Jeandré Joubert broke four and Ruan Michau smashed the U19 boys’ freestyle record by swimming a great 26-second race.

Senior victor and victrix went to Jeandré Joubert and Megan Bircher respectively and the junior victor and victrix to Ethan Chapman and Suné de Wit. Age group winners were Matthew Bircher and Ella Drummond (U14), Ethan Chapman and Suné de Wit (U15), Jeandre Joubert and Sarah-Joy Pringle (U16), Cody McDonald and Megan Bircher (U17) and Ruan Michau and Alexis Crause (U19).
