Creston cricketers make the district team

Derek Horlock won the main prize in a competition sponsored by ZigZag Surfing Magazine, Striped Horse and Hurricane.

Creston’s gr 5 pupils Joseph Currie, Surav Singh and Troye Allchin, as well as gr 4 pupil Khuselihle Khusi have been selected for the SKZN U11 ‘Shadow Squad’.

The U13A cricket team beat Izotsha’s U13A team at last week’s match. The team was able to restrict Izotsha to 128 for 8 in their 20 overs. Congratulations to the team on its performance, as it really was a team effort.

The school is extremely proud of junior primary sports coordinator Derek Horlock for winning the main prize in a competition set out and sponsored by ZigZag Surfing Magazine, Striped Horse and Hurricane.

He received his prize at the ‘Big Wave’ awards presentation held in Cape Town last weekend. Derek scooped return flights to Hawaii, R30 000 spending money, as well as gift prizes worth R30 000.

He is a talented surfer and a member of the Ugu District Senior Surfing team.
