Izotsha Primary’s gr 7 classes hosted a most successful St Valentine’s Day fund-raiser. Pupils excitedly set up their wares and decorated stalls attractively in the hall. The school thoroughly enjoyed supporting gr 7 and loved being able to wear red, white or pink to celebrate the day. An impressive amount of money was raised.

Byron Winrow took part in ward athletic trials at Marburg Sports Grounds. He achieved a first position in the 200m sprint and came second in the 100m sprint, which enabled him to take part in the Ugu trials last Friday.
In the cricket matches against Margate Primary, the U11A team won by 9 wickets with skilled bowler Edward Bense taking 4 wickets and Mason Hielckert scoring 27 runs.
The U13A team won by 55 runs. Callam Currin was ‘Man of the Match’ scoring 62 runs off 32 deliveries and taking 5 wickets in 4 overs.
The school will host a high school fair for 18 local, Pietermaritzburg and surrounding areas and Durban high schools who will display wares. All South Coast grades 6 and 7 pupils and parents are invited to attend this informative event today (February 22) from 5 to 7pm.
