Kyle was seen with his headphones on and dancing without a shirt, totally oblivious to passing motorists and pedestrians. As he says, he doesn’t care.

The tattoos inked all over his body are a dead give-away that this man has traveled a rough road, and is a serious hustler.

But the two guns tattooed on his chest didn’t frighten journalist Shona Aylward who ventured over to chat to Kyle, who she later found out was a long way from his ‘hood in Cape Town.

Kyle dances at the Oribi Plaza traffic lights in Sheppie while waiting for a bus.

During their strange and riveting conversation, it came to light that Kyle he had just come out of prison, and he shared how he had been stabbed and shot, his sad childhood and the South Coast’s drug scene.
