Port Shepstone Islamic School has been abuzz with pupils returning enthusiastically for the second term. Sports is in full swing and training takes place daily. The annual sports day is all set for May 6.

Boys from grades 9 to 12 went on a team-building excursion to AKTV Drakensville Holiday Resort last Friday and returned on Sunday, exhausted, but thoroughly re-energised.
A contingent of athletes will represent the school at the AMS Athletics event this coming weekend.
At the end of term one, a literacy competition was held and the school library hosted various programmes focusing on creating a heightened ‘literacy awareness’.
Pupils from grades 1 to 6 voluntarily took part and certificates will be handed out at a special assembly to instil confidence in public speaking and a love for reading and poetry recitals.
