Wimpy Shelly Centre wins another award
This is the fourth time in six years the eatery has won this award.
Wimpy Shelly Centre has won the prestigious regional ‘Operations Campaign 2017’ award for Southern KwaZulu-Natal region held in Durban recently.
This is the fourth time that Shelly Centre Wimpy has won this prestigious award in six years. The accolade is based on mystery shopper reports, random spot checks and training and includes all aspects of service, hygiene, preparation and the inspection of the entire operation.

Owners, Ockie and Bianca Pretorius from Uvongo say their continued success is based on ‘communication and teamwork’ which is key in any operation most especially in the restaurant business.
“We are extremely proud of winning the award and are proud of our staff that made it possible. It is a team and family affair and this is important for what we are judged on. We are extremely pleased with the award and hope to win many more,” said Mr Pretorius.
He thanked all their customers for their loyal support during the years.
“We are proud to be associated with Wimpy and we will make sure that our valued guests are well taken care of when visiting the South Coast, most especially Wimpy, Shelly Centre.”
The store is still in the running for the national award, which will be held later this year.
