Jai Hind’s gr 1 pupils went on a field trip to Fiddlewood Farm in Margate to learn all about the treatment and care of animals. They visited the newly-constructed farm dam where the careful use of water was discussed.

A stroll through the Fiddlewood forest, the feeding of animals and a picnic under the shade of a giant tree rounded off the exciting day.
Grades 2 and 3 visited Crocworld in Scottburgh and Riverbend Crocodile Farm in Ramsgate respectively. Guided tours provided interesting facts about the life cycle of crocodiles. The highlight was feeding of crocodiles and handling hatchlings.
The gr R excursion to Harbour View SuperSpar in Port Shepstone was a great learning experience.
Their visit to the bakery taught them about the baking process of a loaf of bread and they were able to follow the production line from the bakery through to supermarket shelves.
