Let the college games begin

Keen competitors showed good camaraderie on the sports fields.

Creston College teachers and pupils welcomed Felixton College to their campus for their annual Creston/Felixton Derby Day last Saturday. The weather was perfect and a special thank you is extended to all who took part. Codes of sport included hockey, rugby and netball.

Principal Noel Coetzee said the two schools had developed a close relationship and friendship over the years on the sports fields. “These codes of sport teach us to win graciously and lose with our heads held high, to trust in our teammates, to take responsibility, to make sacrifices, persevere and be loyal.” he said

The pre-primary fund-raiser ‘The Happiest Run on the Planet’ takes place next Saturday (19th) at 7.30am. To sponsor a paint station, contact Bridget Gutzeit at bird@absamail.co.za

Two extremely successful festivals took place last week: the Senior Primary U11 boys’ and girls’ hockey festival and the Senior Primary U11 and U13 netball festival.

As a community service initiative, 40 Creston College phase and some gr 7 pupils manned the fourth water-table at last Tuesday’s 48km Hibiscus Coast Ultra-marathon.
