Port Shepstone Islamic School’s annual interhouse athletics took place last Sunday at Marburg Secondary School’s grounds. The field was a riot of team colours and athletes competed with speed, stamina and strength in front of a large cheering crowd.

Field events including long jumps, discus, shotput and javelin were completed earlier in the week.
Novelty events brought lots of excitement as pupils raced to the finish line balancing bean-bags on their heads, eggs on spoons and trying to find the fastest way of getting mobile in hessian sacks.
The yellow colours of Safraa House were proudly displayed as it took top honours, followed by the red Hamraa and blue Zarqaa houses.
Parents are thanked for their support, teachers for their assistance and pupils for their cooperation and sterling performance.
