Book characters descend on Southcity

Pupils and staff exceeded all expectations and really brought beloved book characters to life.

Southcity Christian School tries to instil a love of reading into pupils in many ways. Last Friday, Senior Primary ended their ‘Read-a-thon Book Week’ with a character dress-up day. Pupils and staff exceeded all expectations and really brought beloved book characters to life.

Costumes were extremely creative and the school was invaded by colourful characters created from amazing face paint, creative clothes, bright wigs and other headwear.

Thanks to all pupils for the effort and for making the day truly memorable. Congratulations are extended to all grade winners.

College pupils travelled to Durban North College for the annual rugby, netball and hockey fixtures. The hockey teams won all their games, the rugby first and U16 teams lost and the U15 team won. Netball teams lost all games.
