Merlewood ventures out to learn

Teachers had a difficult time rounding up pupils because they really did not want to leave.

Merlewood Primary’s grades 7 and 8 pupils had a fun-filled trip to Durban last week to visit uShaka Marine World. They were enthralled by the different species of fish, especially sharks.

Pupils were absolutely fascinated by the dolphins’ antics, but the best part of the day was enjoying the ‘Wet ’n Wild’ theme park. Teachers had a difficult time rounding up pupils because they really did not want to leave.

The U11 and U13 netball teams competed at the annual Winter Sports Day held at Port Shepstone Senior Primary last week. The U13 team played exceptionally well, but unfortunately were knocked out of the semi-finals by Izotsha Primary.
