URGENT NOTICE: Planned shutdown of water supply

Customers are urged to store sufficient water as relief supply will not be provided.

The Umtamvuna Treatment Works will be shut down this Wednesday, May 30, for preventative maintenance on the raw water abstraction pump station.

The coastal areas from Southbroom to Port Edward and the inland areas of KwaNzimakwe, Ezingoleni. KwaXolo, Gcilima, Thelawayeka, Mvuntshini, Shobamdlanzi, Florida, Nodalane, Shobeni and Mlazane can expect to be without water between 6am and 12pm.

Customers are urged to store sufficient water as relief supply will not be provided.

IMPORTANT:

An additional two hours post-shutdown shuld be allowed as the water will take some time to change the pipeline for the furthest affected areas.
