PEPS pupils visit farms to learn

Gr 1 pupils visited Fiddlewood farm to learn about all the animals on the farm.

Port Edward Primary School had an extremely busy week, kicking off with a fund-raiser for rugby boys at Golden Moon Spur at the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort.

The school sincerely thanks everyone who supported the boys. Congratulations to Nthato Mazwi who made the U12 Sharks rugby team and will be playing at an interprovincial tournament.

Gr 4 pupils spent an informative morning learning about macadamia nut farming. They learnt how the trees are grown and harvested and then went on to Mac Eden to see the nuts being shelled and packaged for export.

Gr 1 pupils visited Fiddlewood farm to learn about all the animals on the farm and had lots of fun on this enjoyable excursion.
