Merlewood Primary’s U14 boys’ volleyball team competed at the Inter-district Volleyball Tournament held at the Marburg Sports Complex last Saturday. They emerged victorious over a very strong team from Harry Gwala District.

The boys displayed excellent teamwork and players Omarion van Skankel and Nathan Gilden showed exceptional skill.
Appreciation goes to coaches Devi Govender and Alicia Dennis, as well as to manager Ronel Struwig, for all the hard work and dedication that has paid off.
Once again an appeal is made to parents to ensure that pupils are being brought to school in ‘safe’ transport.
June examinations commenced this week and the school urges parents not to keep their children home unnecessarily. Registration for entry into the school in 2019 is now open.
