Last Saturday, Lethukuthula represented Ugu in the open category at the Provincial Youth Run in Durban. He managed to complete the 5km run in 23 minutes and 35 seconds, to finish in 73rd place out of 809 athletes in his category. He finished overall in 92nd place out of 1 877 competitors. Absolutely impressive at 10 years old.
Elize Jacobs competed in the Comrades Marathon last Sunday with 21 273 other entrants.
She secured a silver medal for finishing in 8 hours and 43 minutes. Congratulations to her for accomplishing such a great feat!
These two athletes are truly inspirational.
