Hibberdene Academy’s gr 12 pupils completed their first exam, namely life orientation Paper 3, for the National Senior Certificate last week.

Last Friday was Civvies Day and a fancy dress competition was held with different themes. Junior pupils had the theme ‘Superheroes and Fairy Tales’. Storm Ferguson won the ‘Superheroes’ section as ‘The Phantom’ and ‘Fairy Queen’ Minenhle Moseya and ‘Wicked Witch’ Sisanda Cele tied as winners of the Fairy Tales section.
The theme for senior pupils was Careers and Buhle Biyase, dressed as a medical doctor, took first prize.
The threat to the oceans of the world was discussed in detail by gr 1 pupils, who then drew and coloured beautiful pictures.
