SPCA receives a helping hand thanks to the generosity of The Bed Shop

Mirka Wessels of the Lower South Coast SPCA drew the lucky ticket and Lara Potgieter of Uvongo was the winner.

The Lower South Coast SPCA was recently able to lay in a supply of food, rubberised mats for the dog cages and felting for the cats, thanks to funds raised from a raffle.

Craig van Schalkwyk of The Bed Shop in Manaba said the company had donated twin latex pillows, mattress and pillow protectors to be raffled.

Doug’s Hardware in Manaba helped to sell 50 percent of the raffle tickets at the shop.

Craig van Schalkwyk and Niel van Straaten of The Bed Shop hand over the donated items to Phillip Bougas of the Lower South Coast SPCA.

“The difference we can make will hopefully help to improve the animals’ lives for the future,” said Craig.
