Each ambassador runner is expected to raise a minimum of R500 by way of sponsorships and donations. The ambassador run is a 10km run and starts at 7am. Remember one does not need to be an ambassador runner to raise funds. Funds can be raised and handed to the Bread of Heaven organising committee. Bread of Heaven feeding scheme is operated by a team of volunteers who, on a daily basis, prepare sandwiches for the children and deliver them to nine schools in the area. The organisation gets no funding whatsoever from the government and relies heavily on public donations, business sponsorships, small grants-in-aid, voluntary contributions and local fund-raising drives such as fun runs, raffles and tuck shops. For further information on the run contact Gordon Michael at 073 5104453 or Pastor Reggie John at 082 8227399.
