Fun at the Marburg fair included a bhangra bash of note

Visitors enjoyed an evening of dazzling bhangra music and dance.

From the day a funfair arrives, it creates a festive atmosphere. Tommy’s World Fair set up at the Marburg Sports Complex last week and, in keeping with the fun, a spectacular bhangra bash took place last Saturday.

“Marburg boasts a large Indian community and we were pleased to be able to provide them with a platform to express their culture and identity, and enjoy an evening of dazzling bhangra music and dance at its best,” said organisers, Rajan Pillay and Dee Cee Pillay.

The event also had a dedicated children’s corner with loads of fun activities including face painting, candyfloss and jumping castles.
