PSSP athletes commence training

Teacher interns Glen Stockers and Myeshnie Audan are warmly welcomed.

PSSP held a special assembly last Wednesday to commemorate the life of Nelson Mandela. The centenary birthday was celebrated through song and dance in true Madiba style.

Proceedings were led by principal ‘PK’ Appalraju, who ‘relinquished’ his title as principal for the duration of the celebration and took to the stage to lead the ‘Madiba Shuffle’.

PSSP also did its bit for charity by donating cash and items collected by gr 6N to South Coast Hospice staff members ‘BT’ King, Joy Moodley and Maphiwe Duma at the assembly.

Parents who met with teachers to discuss academic progress of their children are thanked for their attendance. The extramural programme has commenced, with the focus on athletics and cross-country training. Events to diarise are the interhouse cross-country on August 8 and the interhouse athletics on August 23.
