Woman collapses at home due to suspected heart attack … NSRI medics respond

Despite the medics' best efforts the woman could not be saved.

NSRI Port Edward medics responded to a residence in Port Edward following a request for medical assistance late on Wednesday night this week.

Hibiscus Med-Evac ambulance services also responded.

On arrival on the scene CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) efforts were commenced on a woman (55) who had collapsed from a suspected heart attack.

“Sadly, after all efforts to resuscitate her were exhausted, she was declared deceased by paramedics,” said station commander John Nicholas.

Condolences were extended to family and friends.
