‘Diamond’ Tuesday for Rostrum with guest speaker Clare Appleyard

Clare Appleyard is the guest speaker at Tuesday Rostrum’s next meeting, which will take place at Mbango Valley on Tuesday, August 14.

She was involved in the diamond exploration industry for over six years, working for De Beers and Anglo American.

She then made the transition from geology and diamond exploration to the retail diamond industry in 2007.

With her extensive scientific diamond background and knowledge, Clare is the perfect consultant to educate consumers on their diamond and jewellery purchases and assist in guiding them towards their ideal diamond.

In her role as technical diamond specialist for Katannuta Diamonds, the company she co-founded in 2007, Clare’s aim is for Katannuta Diamonds to be the supplier of choice for discerning consumers looking for unique, quality purchases of diamonds, tanzanite and jewellery.

Clare is considered an expert in the field of diamonds and has consulted for various media articles, is an invited speaker at Women in Mining conferences, and is currently contracted to a luxury American travel tour operator to assist tour groups with educational gemstone talks.
