Mr Khamissa, who hails from Port Shepstone, completed his diploma in education at the University of Durban-Westville and majored in accounting and business economics. He was appointed to the school in 1982 and has since served as a level one teacher in the intermediate/senior phase. He further pursued a diploma in resource centre management and served as the school’s librarian for many years. He also spearheaded the school’s recycling campaign and always taught pupils about environmental awareness.

Mr Khamissa says that he intends sharing his time between his family and his five grandchildren.

He is passionate about education and believes that the key to being successful is completing matric and choosing a career wisely.
