Marburg Secondary School hosted a wellness clinic last Wednesday. A medical team from Port Shepstone Regional Hospital visited the school to conduct testing and screening for diabetes, hypertension, mental health, eye defects and tuberculosis on gr 10 pupils.

They also received informative talks on substance abuse and sexual assault. Doctors and nurses provided one-on-one counselling and the clinic culminated in an energetic taebo session.
Chief coordinator Matron Linda Manipersad was very impressed with the enthusiastic attitude and participation of the pupils and confirmed that, based on the success, the clinic would be conducted annually.
The governing body, principal, and staff sincerely thank the hospital medical staff for the professional manner in which they conducted the wellness campaign.
