Jai Hind Primary’s gr 5 pupils went on a well-coordinated excursion to MacBanana Estate in Port Edward last week. They enjoyed the informative tour to learn about daily operations of a banana plantation and the different stages of banana plant growth.

The Butterfly Dome fascinated them as did learning about the life-cycle of butterflies. A stop at the animal farm and a late lunch completed the fun visit and everyone returned richer for the experience.
The U13 boy’s soccer team took part in the Strini Moodley soccer tournament last weekend. All players will receive medals for commendable efforts.
The school welcomes new teacher Najmunnissa Muhammed Ebrahim who has been transferred from Harding Primary and replaces retired teacher Mohammed Khamissa. The school extends a warm welcome and hopes that she enjoys a long and happy stay.
