PSIS scientists bring home medals

Port Shepstone Islamic School’s budding scientists returned with one silver and two bronze medals from the Association of Muslim Schools’ Annual Science and Technology Fair held at the Orient Islamic School in Durban.

The desalination project of Sulaiman Ganie and Ammar Sardar earned them second position.

The exhibit of Maseeha Omar and Fathima Patel also placed second, while gr 4 pupil Ahmed Amin came third with his homemade lawnmower.

Pupils had great fun at the boys’ and girls’ U10 cricket festival held at Port Shepstone Country club last Saturday.

Yusuf Ajam, Abdur-Rahman Shaik, Zaid Dindar, Hanief Akbar and Mustaqeem Bapu showed they have a promising future with a cricket bat and ball.

Pupils entered the Annual AMS Arabic and Islaamiyaat Olympiad last week.

Tickets for the annual fund-raising dinner this Saturday can be purchased at Dip Spar, Albersville Tea Room and from the school.
