Izotsha Primary marketers do brisk business

The school hall was a hive of activity with gr 7 pupils preparing business stalls and setting up wares last Friday morning.

Izotsha Primary’s gr 7 classes had a most exciting week preparing for their annual ‘Market Day’ to test their entrepreneurship skills.

Live adverts were presented to inform pupils of what was going to be on sale.

There were a variety of goods and services offered by 31 different ‘businesses’.

Business commenced at 9am last Friday morning and there was an overwhelming air of excitement as enthusiastic customers entered the hall to shop.

The jubilation on the faces of entrepreneurs was amazing as they watched money pouring into the business .

They were impatient to count all their income to calculate whether they had made a profit or not.

Byron Winrow competed at the KZN Athletics Champs at Kings Park last Saturday.

Byron Winrow of Izotsha Primary walked away with a silver medal for placing second in the U13 long jump finals at KZN Athletics Championships held at Kings Park last week.

He took part in the 100m, 200m and long jump events and scooped a silver medal for placing second in the U13 long jump finals.

The school looks forward to hosting its annual ‘Spring Challenge’ tomorrow (26th).
