PSIS salutes coach Khan

There are many activities planned for term 4.

Port Shepstone Islamic School staff member Ustaad MZ Khan was honoured as ‘coach of the month’ at the KFC Provincial Seminar for mini-cricket held at Kingsmead Stadium recently.

Outstanding players Abdur Rahman Shaik and Mustaqeem Bapu from grade 4 and Yusuf Ajam and Hanief Akbar from grade 3 are commended for impressive performances.

The U11 and U13 table tennis and cricket players played Umzinto Islamic last weekend under the banner of South Coast Hub.

Special guest speaker Moulana Mohamed Vanker inspired all at the fund-raising dinner.

Budding scientists earned one silver and two bronze medals at the Association of Muslim Schools’ Annual Science and Technology Fair held at the Orient Islamic School in Durban.

The desalination project of Sulaiman Ganie and Ammar Sardar earned them second position.

Maseeha Omar and Fathima Patel’s exhibit also placed second and Ahmed Amin (gr 4) came third with his homemade lawnmower.

Gr 12 pupils are wished everything of the best for their final exams.
