RA Engar scoops awards

The school was recognised as one of the top five participating schools in the ‘Waste Hierarchy’ category.

RA Engar Primary entered the Ray Nkonyeni SWEEP Competition at Uvongo Town Hall last Thursday. The school was recognised as one of the top five participating schools in the ‘Waste Hierarchy’ category and placed third in the craft category.

Yolisa Dlali (gr 6C) came second for her speech on ‘The important role that recycling plays in improving the environment.’ Aisha Dyavarne (gr 6C) was runner-up in the poetry category for her poem entitled ‘Save our planet for the future’, which promotes good waste management practices.

Teashka Soorijlah (gr 4C), Simo Bongwa (gr 5B) and Zothani Jula (gr 7B) had their artwork selected for Santam’s 2019 online exhibition and will each receive a certificate and medal from Santam.
