Sheppie Snippets: Go walking in scenic Sheppie
The views of the Umzimkulu River is truly a sight not to be missed.
Umbango River Conservancy will hold its hike along the Tandela Trail, at the Umzimkulu Sugar Mill, this Sunday, December 9. Registration is at 6am with the hike starting at 6.30am. Entry fee is R20 for adults and R10 for children. The view of the Umzimkulu River being cradled by Band Farm Mountains is truly a sight not to be missed. Golf day
The annual mayoral golf day, hosted by Ray Nkonyeni Municipality mayor Nomusa Mqwebu, will take place at Margate Country Club next Friday, December 14 with a shotgun start at 11am.
This will be followed by a cocktail function at 6pm. Format is fourball alliance with two scores to count. Entry fee is R250 per person. To book contact the pro shop at 039 3172340. Open only to players with official handicaps

Year-end bash
The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir invites all to their year-end dinner and dance. The event will take place at Marburg Secondary School hall on Saturday, December 22 at 6pm. Live entertainment will be provided by San Productions. Everyone can look forward to bhangra, classics and chutney music. Entry fee is R150 per person and includes a full buffet.
