Calling all Manaba, Uvongo and St Michael’s residents and ratepayers

Do you want Uvongo to hold the status of a Special Ratings Area? Why a SRA? To secure the necessary funding to manage continuous safety and security in Uvongo.

Uvongo Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association (URRA) cordially invites everyone to attend a public information meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at the Uvongo Town Hall starting at 5.30pm.

It is a blessing to live in a paradise such as Uvongo and therefore, we need to ensure the preservation of this beautiful area for the sake of future generations and our livelihood.

The future of improving safety and security in the area by establishing an SRA (Special Ratings Area) will be discussed at the meeting.

The SRA initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the area’s safety and security (looking at other successful areas already on the SRA system – Marina Beach, Southbroom, Ramsgate) and needs much support in implementing funding for safety and security projects in the Ward 19 area (Uvongo, St Michael’s and parts of Manaba).

The great work done by the Uvongo CPF during past years is evident and it is now time to capitalise on their dedicated performance and complement the UCSF by combating crime more effectively and vigorously.

See you there.
