New car service centre opens in Marburg

Vusi Shibe, who is from Umzumbe, said it was an honour to be part of an international and leading vehicle service network.

The official opening of the new Bosch Car Service Centre in Lind Road, Marburg took place last Thursday.

The general consensus was that this business would be an asset to the area.

The ‘Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering’ was founded in Stuttgart, Germany, by Robert Bosch in 1886.

Today, 130 years later, more than 83,000 associates in the roughly 16,000 Bosch Car Service workshops in 150 countries service and repair more than 210,000 vehicles each day.

Asad Wahid of Robert Bosch South Africa congratulated new franchise owner, Vusi Shibe.

Deputy mayor Ronnie Nair welcomed the opening of the workshop and thanked the company for investing within the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality. “We wish Mr Shibe and his team everything of the best,” he said.

Mr Shibe, who is from Umzumbe, said it was an honour to be part of an international and leading vehicle service network.

“The opening of this outlet fulfills my wish to make a difference in my community. Having grown up in Umzumbe, I am giving something back.”

He thanked Bosch for trusting in him, adding that he looked forward to the the community’s support.

The service centre offers vehicle maintenance, braking systems, diagnostics, clutch system repairs, suspension, engine and gearbox repairs and has all the necessary tools for the job.

Staff are qualified and undergo regular training.
