‘Chocs’ away for fab fundraiser

Runners, cyclists, walkers,and even dogs lent their support to the event.

Holidaymakers and locals joined together to help raise funds for the Childhood Cancer Foundation South Africa (CHOC) by supporting the 5/10km fun run/walk/cycle event at the Uvongo fishing pier on Monday this week.

Organised by South Coast Striders runner Deborah Berridge, the event attracted a field of 140 people. Deborah has previously organised several fund-raising fun runs for Pink Drive.

CHOC is one of three new Comrades Amabeadibeadi charities for the next three years along with Hillcrest Aids Centre Trust and Hospice South Africa, which join the Community Chests of Pietermaritzburg and Durban, Wildlands Conservation Trust and World Vision SA.
