Visit the new tourism information centre
Unlike other VICs, this one offers a wide range of items made by local crafters.
Ugu South Coast Tourism has opened a new Visitor Information Centre (VIC) at Mattison Square in Port Edward, in time for the summer holidays.
CEO Phelisa Mangcu says the office complements other art and craft shops in the shopping centre and apart from adding to the tourism information infrastructure, it provides a platform for crafters to showcase and sell their work, forming part of the overall visitor experience and addressing the organisation’s development mandate.

Skhumbuzo Madlala, previously from Southbroom VIC, welcomes visitors and provides the necessary tourism advice. His service adds to that provided by colleague Palesa Makhaye from the MacBanana VIC in Munster.
Visitors are encouraged to use the centres for accommodation availability, to book buses and transport services, enquire about attractions, activities and other services. They can also get free copies of the official route guide, the Southern Explorer, the Fun Food Adventure and children’s activity books.
