On Monday December 24, a woman was shopping at a clothing outlet in Reynolds Street, Port Shepstone when a large sum of cash was taken out of her handbag.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of the woman in the photograph is asked to contact Sergeant Belinda Francis at 039 6881055

or 084 374 4694.

Police again warn shoppers not to leave handbags unattended in trolleys, and to carry cash safely with handbags properly zipped up and tucked under the arm.

“Avoid carrying large sums of cash if possible and rather use debit cards. Be cautious when using your cellphone while walking or shopping and avoid wearing valuable jewellery in town,” said Captain Petros Mpinge.
