#Matric2018: It’s a full house for Southcity
Pupils notched up 44 A symbols for individual subjects, 70 B symbols and 90 C symbols.
Southcity Christian College’s Class of 2018 has done themselves, their families and their school proud with their International Examination Board (IEB) results.
The school recorded a 100 percent pass rate, and a 95,1 percent bachelor degree pass rate.
Pupils notched up 44 A symbols for individual subjects, 70 B symbols and 90 C symbols.
Special mention is made of Janzelle Keet (six distinctions), Tiffany Clinton, Alexis Crause and Inez Smit with (four distinctions each) and Keana van Staden (three distinctions).
College phase deputy principal Ria de Beer said, “Our pupils coped well with the pressure of the final examinations as they were able to maintain and, in many cases, improve on their trial examination results. This is no small task and we congratulate our pupils on finishing strongly.
“A big thank you to the families of our grade 12 pupils for their support and encouragement throughout the year, and to the staff of Southcity: your efforts have reaped awards. Thank you for your tireless commitment to education.
“Lastly, to the class of 2018: don’t stop now, your journey has only just begun. Use this success to catapult yourself into even greater things and always be excited about the future.”
