Nativity play was a star-studded affair

The singing was quite beautiful, led by the church's music director Lizzie Nair and the talented worship team.

The Norwegian Settlers Church in Izotsha was jam-packed for the annual Carols by Candlelight evening a few days before Christmas.

The stars of the production were the children, some from Mkholombe, with many being involved in a nativity play for the first time.

Sierra van der Ruit lends her voice to the angelic choir.

One of the stars was in fact just that, a (flossing) star, namely Matthew Evans, who pulled off some dance moves at the end that showed his talents are not restricted only to climbing really tall trees.

Ethan Prinsloo makes his nativity scene debut as a sheep.

Cherrie Downham was the play director and she handled matters with efficient aplomb.
