Scripture Union sets training dates

The session will be focused on handling a successful group.

Scripture Union’s first training event of 2019 will take place at Salem Church on Saturday, March 9 from 9am to 1pm. The church is situated in Torwood Crescent, Marburg.

The focus of the session will be on handling a successful group.

“The aim is to help you get to grips with how to lead a small group and effectively help children grow and be discipled through this process. Small groups are central to building relationships and helping children grow in their faith, so we would encourage you to be there and hear some ways in which you can do this,” said Scripture Union South Coast field worker Peter Nuttall.

“In order to assist you and your teams do this effectively, Scripture Union runs training events to equip, enhance and develop leaders for the work of the Kingdom among young people.”

Provisional dates for the rest of the year are Saturday, May 18 – How to develop an object lesson; Saturday, September 24 – Understanding the world of a child; Saturday, October 19 – Teaching through song (+discipline).
