Port Shepstone Islamic School celebrated its matric awards last Friday evening at a glittering dinner event.
The 2018 dux award went to Zaeem Faizel Ebrahim.

Zaeem, Mariam Nakooda and Yusuf Paruk placed seventh, fourteenth and twenty-fourth respectively in the Association of Muslim Schools’ KZN Top 30 list.
Impressively, Zaeem also attained the highest life sciences marks in AMS KZN schools. PSIS received acknowledgement for the phenomenal 100 percent pass rate.
With PSIS entering its 25th year of existence, an alumni dinner was held last Saturday. The event was attended by matriculants from 2002 to 2018.
Despite the excitement and nostalgia of walking through the corridors, former pupils formed sub-committees to assist with the school’s growth and development. Sincere gratitude to all who attended.
The bustling crowd of eager gr1 pupils have settled in happily and are ready for the 2019 academic year.
The Astro Soccer Intraphase league for boys and girls commenced this week.
