Blood drive

The Port Shepstone Sai Centre will hold a blood donor clinic at Marburg Primary, Wimpey Crescent, Marburg, this Sunday, January 27 from 9.30am to 3pm. There is currently a critical shortage of blood and the centre is appealing to all donors to support the drive and save a life. Hindus are observing Thai Poosam Kavady. The following temples will be observing the public Kavady this Saturday, January 26.

Kavady

Umbango temple

Indian music classes

The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sahba Mandir will host the Vidya Institute of South Africa school of music this Saturday, January 26 from midday to 2pm. This non-profit organisation will present Indian music lessons in harmonium, tabla and vocals at 66 King Haakon Drive, Oslo Beach.

Lessons will be conducted by Abeynand Beejan. Students will receive a certificate after completing a one year course.
