‘Gift of the Givers’ paid Hlanganani Preparatory a visit last Wednesday to deliver 110 stationery packs.
Pupils were delighted with the packs, filled with exercise books, pens, pencils, rulers and glue. ‘Gift of the Givers’ are sincerely thanked.
The swimming programme for Foundation Phase is well under way. Grades R and 1 enjoyed their first swim last Friday and grades 2 and 3 had theirs on Tuesday this week.
The school was fortunate to have Norwegian Church members Hannah Alfarners and Nathalie Hansen to undertake much-needed remedial reading lessons with gr 3 pupils last Monday. The school is indebted to them.
Philasande Mthembu, Neo Qwemesha, Ziyanda Shazi, Inamandla Langazane, Kuhle Khuzwayo, Alwande Khwela, Sphelele Ngubelanga, Ntuthuko Miya, Minenhle Cele and Luthando Mtolo received their monitor badges at assembly last Friday.
Pupils have been tasked with sharpening their timetable knowledge for the fun fund-raising ‘tablethon’ scheduled to take place soon.
